Inverted triangular configuration of cannulated screws for fixation of unstable fracture neck femur
I share with you a case of unstable fracture neck femur. He is 33 years old.
He has been operated at the same day of trauma. Cannulated screws fixation technique with inverted triangle configuration was used.
After one year the fracture is completely united with full range of motion of the right hip joint except for loss of last degrees of internal and external rotation.
He has good functional outcome without pain.
Several studies show that Inverted triangular configuration showed the mechanical advantage and being less likely to cutout.
